March in Texas with Jimmy George

Plans are nearly complete for a swing through Texas in March doing about a dozen shows with Jimmy George to support a new live CD of ours. Most of the shows are posted on my Myspace site which you can access on the links above and below.

Meanwhile, here on Whidbey Island, I have a number of cool gigs coming up. TOMORROW, at ipm, I am playing at Island Books and Coffee on 2nd Street in Langley at a benefit for Haiti. The concert begins at noon with Eric Vanderbilt-Matthews and Friends Jazz Ensemble. I play from 1 to 2 and the benefit winds up with a performance by Eii and Ashley of Lake from 2 to 3pm.

Back Online

Testing...testing...1,2,3. Welcome.

Alright, here I am, back with my own website. Due to an unfortunate series of events a couple of years ago, I lost my domain and my former website. Now, due the the asute capabilities of a certain red-headed lady, I have my domain back again and this single page website up.

If things work out the way we hope they do, I'll have a more complete website back up on the web in the next few months. So check back from time to time. Thanks for stopping by.

Russell on the road.

Russell Clepper is a singer/songwriter, born and bred in Texas, but who is now living in the Pacific Northwest on Whidbey Island near Seattle. He moved there to be with the love of his life,Sarah Dial Primrose, longtime Northwest resident, artist and businesswoman.

Russell has performed all over Texas and in many other states solo and with other musical artists. Most recently he collaborated with Jimmy George of Austin, Texas in the acclaimed Clepper George duo. Earlier, in San Antonio, he founded the Trebelmakers with Mike Phelan. His cousin Mo Pair has often contributed to both those projects.

Emilie Clepper is Russell's singer/songwriter daughter, who has had much success and critical acclaim in her native Quebec City where Russell lived for 17 years.
